BAND BIO
What do you get when you combine the nutty boy humour of Madness with the irreverence & jangly guitars of The Smiths, the thoughtful intelligent lyrics of The Beautiful South, the Cheeky Chappy cockney style of The Kinks & the Small Faces & the mind bogglingly intricate Saxophone chops of John Coltrane? Well, add to that a rhythm section that will get your toes tapping & your feet itching to get up on the dance floor with their mix of Rock 'n' Roll, Pop, Soul, Funk & Reggae then you’ll have all the ingredients that go to make up Don’t Look Now.
This band have consistently defied all attempts to put them in a pigeonhole, mainly because the are far to big (lead singer is 6’ 2”) & of course pigeons are quite small, aren’t they?
They have songs about almost anything you can think of, so if you’re fed up with hearing the same old love you hate you, I want you back, I don’t want you back tunes that make up much of the pop charts, then why not take a break from all that & listen to some songs about something much more interesting instead. Like stamp collecting, selling used cars, bank robbery, tabloid journalism, holiday romance, staying calm in a crisis, artificial intelligence, a particular style of glasses worn by John Lennon & having an affair with your cousin.
Their latest album “The Elephant in the Room” is currently storming up the pop charts with quite literally dozens of streams already & it’s also available on CD for a very reasonable price.
They even have their own Christmas song which they will of course be re releasing every year until the end of time.
